Note: DEPI Victorian Government Changes are now in force from July 1st 2014
Parks Victoria: Revised fees for camping and accommodation affecting 197 of the state’s 680 campsites

I posted an article earlier this year of pending changes to Victorian National Parks Act, they are now in place.

Please let me know of locations that now have camping fees enforced so i can change our listing status for these sites.

From 1 July fees will apply to camp in the following parks:

Cobboboonee National Park
French Island National Park
Baw Baw National Park
Lerderderg State Park
Broken Boosey State Park
Mornington Peninsula National Park
Bunyip State Park
Mount Buangor State Park
Cape Liptrap Coastal Park
Mount Samaria State Park
Kurth Kiln Regional Park

Permit Fees vary according to the facilities provided at the site.

Ranging from:
Basic/Very Basic permit fees of $13 per site per night. (up to 6 people) Unserviced, minimal ranger patrols, typically no booking service, pit or no pit toilets

Mid permit fees of $37.80 per site per night. (up to 6 people) No showers, partially serviced, infrequent ranger patrols, booking service, pit/composting toilet, mostly undesignated sites

High permit fees of $48.70 per site per night. (up to 6 people) Some showers, partially serviced, regular ranger patrols, mostly septic/sewer toilets, mostly designated sites, booking service, some drinking water, unique location

Very highpermit fees of $59.20 per site per night. (up to 8 people) Hot showers, fully serviced, full time ranger presence, sewer toilets, designated campsites, booking service, treated drinking water, laundry facilities, unique location

Note: Concession Card Holders are eligible for a 10% discount

After the announcement on last weekend on public Television......
The Victorian Government have scrapped the fees they brought in last year and we once again have free camping g in most of our National Parks. :woohoo:

You can go to the mountain side or in parks or in place that you haven't been of.
