BOWEN has seasonal work available on farms in the district during the season between April and November, and during the mango picking season, from November /December. Some variation can occur in the length of farming and mango seasons. The best period to be assured of finding work is between July to September, and November/December for the Mango season although some farms will require labour for planting and ground
preparation as early as April to June.
