build a van was created by mrteaser
hi

was thinking as there probably wont be alot of room where the van will probably live and be worked on for now that might be able to build a 9-10ft retro looking van for now and wondered wether that would be a good way to give you as long as you need to build a bigger one 13-15ft that looks like a viscount poptop when space allows.

do you lot recon that building a 9-10ft retro looking van that will be easier to store to start off would get you out of trouble for now and then when space allows to store a bigger van then build a 13-15ft one that looks like a viscount poptop then sell the other one.

how heavy and how many kg you recon a 9-10ft retro looking van be,

would you lot sugest giving building the 9-10ft retro looking van a shot if it comes to that and when space allows or have somewhere else then build the 13-15ft viscount looking one and then sell the other one.

what happens depends on where the van can be stored and be worked on during the big stages

thanks

The first van we used when I was a lot younger, was an old homemade teardrop plywood van, it was quite ancient back then (circa 1930's), it had been later re-skinned in aluminium.
It was small, easy to tow, fitted into almost any space you could find, and had quite comfortable living space.
P.S. We had no Gas fittings, Internal lights or power points, so an esky for food, camping stove for cooking, plus candles for lighting were our mod cons.
It was an amazing little van, and it got attention wherever we went.
The Van we own now, is a run of the mill stock standard one so to speak, you would'nt take a second look at it.
