Caravan campsite for long-term stay was created by alexabda
Hi folks,
I read somewhere online that in Australia there are people who - for various reasons such as unaffordable housing and lifestyle choices - live permanently - alone and along with families - in vans like this www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/penrith/caravan/...d-leather/1078457827 (regardless of models). They stay at fixed campsites under rental contracts. Those campsites constitute a sort of villages.
As we plan to immigrate to Australia soon and have choosen NSW for a number of obvious advantages, we would like to consider the option of buying a big van and a car to tow it and to live at a campsite. This will solve the problem with housing while providing us with the mobility and flexibility we would appreciate when looking for jobs and other basic amenities.
Because there are a lot of offers at gumtree.au, the question remains open as to where such campsites are located and how to contact with their administration/owners for details.
Also, advice and recommendations based on personal experience are desirable to be heard.
